Diving back in Time
Oris has dived back in time and is delighted to present the Oris Divers Sixty-Five – a revival of an iconic diver’s watch that first appeared in the Oris collection 50 years ago. The new Oris Divers Sixty-Five shares the retro looks of the 1960s original, but it’s been modernised using 21st century watchmaking techniques. The case is made of anti-corrosive stainless steel. The vintage-inspired bubble-curved glass is made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and comes with anti-reflective coating on the inside to reduce glare and increase legibility underwater.
Anti-magnetism
Most Swiss watch movements will be magnetised if exposed to the strong magnetic forces we encounter in daily life. When this happens, they become less accurate, and can stop altogether. To make them highly anti-magnetic, Oris engineered movements in the Calibre 400 Series using more than 30 non-ferrous and anti-magnetic components, including a silicon escape wheel and a silicon anchor. In testing by the renowned Laboratoire Dubois, Calibre 401 deviated by less than 10 seconds a day after exposure to 2,250 gauss.
Five-day power reserve
For many reasons, you may not wear a mechanical watch every day. If you put a standard mechanical watch down for a day or two, it will stop as the power reserve runs down. Calibre 401 has a five-day power reserve so it’s ready to go when you are. It delivers this longer period of use via twin barrels, both of which house an extended mainspring, each long enough to store two-and-a-half days of power. It’s highly accurate, to -3/+5 seconds a day, better than a chronometer.Reference 01 733 7707 4356-07 8 20 17
10-year warranty
Oris is so confident in the performance of the advanced technologies integrated into the Calibre 400 Series that we are offering a 10-year warranty on all Oris watches powered by the new movements when you register them at MyOris. In addition, Oris is also proposing 10-year recommended service intervals on Calibre 400 Series watches. This means that barring accidental damage or waterresistance checks, you shouldn’t need to bring in your Carl Brashear Cal. 401 Limited Edition for a service until 2031 at the earliest. This is the new standard.Case Oris Divers, 40.00 mm, 1.575 inches, Stainless steel
